Book 2 of the Parallel series is coming along!

I'm working hard on finishing book 2 of the Parallel Trilogy. The title is "Imprisoned". Here is the cover:

My goal is to have it available for purchase by July 1st. I'm almost done with the first draft. After revisions it will go to my beta readers, then my editor. If you liked "Gone", I think you'll really like "Imprisoned"!

What happened to the other Morgan that lived in the parallel universe? Shouldn't there be two of them? I did not get they.

In answer to your question about the other Morgan:

When our Morgan arrives in this world the other Morgan had to go somewhere else as there couldn't be two Morgan's in this world. Though the story is told from our Morgan's point of view and she really doesn't know what happened to the other Morgan, I would say that the other Morgan switched places with our Morgan and is living in the other world, living our Morgan's life.

Great book series. I love the parallel twist. I love the character of Morgan Campbell. I can hardly wait for the 3rd book to come out. I definitely will be buying it. One thing, although you might want to fix in the 2nd book were there is a typo. I guess your beta reader or editor missed it. It's located on 4215 of 4309 where the sentence reads: The lantern should be around her somewhere. I think her somehere should be here somewhere. Anyway, just a small problem, but as a writer myself, I'd just know you'd want to fix it.

Kathryn,

I'm glad you're enjoying the Parallel Trilogy! Thanks for letting me know about the typo. One always seems to slip by. :)

If the Morgans have just switched places? Where would it happen. If the tunnel is a gateway to a parrallel universe, there should be 2 Morgans in one universe. If something in the tunnel causes people to switch universes, it seems weird. Would the other Morgan just wake up in a tunnel? Sorry fir being a acidity nerd. :-) But the Morgans just switching places doesn't really flow with how its written so far. Great shook. Btw.

Chrissy,

Good question. I've had a few people ask about the other Morgan, so I actually just made a minor change to Gone that might help a little. In the scene where Morgan arrives at her house in this world for the first time and first sees her mother, her mother says: “Rochelle Candee’s mother called a while ago and said they couldn’t find you. She told me you’d been upset about something and gone off by yourself in the forest by their cabin.”

Of course our Morgan doesn't know anything about that, but finds it interesting that this world's Morgan had gone off into a forest around the time our Morgan enters this world.

And then a few minutes later Morgan thinks: And what about the other Morgan? Was she in my world? Did she wander into a forest and get switched with me? How unfair was that? Here I was in this terrible world and she was happily in my world—at least I assumed she was happy. She was probably as confused as I was. That didn’t matter. All that mattered was that I find a way to get home.

The new additions to the scene don't straight out answer your question, but it gives a little more context. Let me know if it helps!

Thanks for reading my books!!!

Any idea when the 3rd book might become available. I honestly started reading Gone by accident, got addicted and was pleased to find out I could go on and read book 2 Imprisoned. Didn't take me long to read them and now I truely cant wait to see how it all ends...
